Hello World

Welcome to the first post of a blog I never thought I’d write. If you’ve ever taken a computer science class, you’ll recognize the phrase “Hello World” as the first words that ever come out of a student’s first program. This blog post is my first blog post ever.

I’m Dan—a storyteller, engineer, programmer, and someone who believes that the past isn’t just worth remembering, it’s worth reimagining. This blog will be a space where I share the stories behind the stories: the vacations that inspired chapters, the symbols that shaped our book covers, and the turning points that made me who I am. 

Some posts will be deeply personal. Some will be playful. Some might even be a little provocative. But all of them will be honest.

I co-wrote this series with my incredible daughter. If nothing else, some day they will come across these journal entries and gain a deeper insight into me.
